Organizational Structure of the Quality Center University of Modern Sciences

Director of the Center for Quality and Academic Accreditation:

  • Tasks and duties 
  1.  Consolidating the concept and standards of the quality of teaching and learning and spreading its culture at the level of university faculties and departments. 
  2.  Supervising the application of the quality program in the faculties and departments of the university. 
  3.  Supervising performance evaluation in the university's faculties and departments. 
  4. Supervising the implementation of quality and academic accreditation programs. 
  5. Preparing and implementing developmental and strategic plans for the university's faculties and departments. 
  6. Study the difficulties or bottlenecks facing educational and administrative quality programs and propose solutions to them. 
  7. Determining the specialized training needs of faculty members and university employees in the academic and administrative departments.
  8.  Encouraging faculty members to participate in attending courses, training programs, and workshops related to quality and academic accreditation, which are organized by the Center or similar bodies inside and outside the university. 
  9.  Supervising the preparation of development plans for the skills of the university's employees, including faculty, staff and students. 
  10.  Supervising the use of technologies, e-learning, educational media and distance education in teaching and learning within the university. 
  11.  Supervising the preparation of the center's annual report and distributing it to the competent authorities. 
  12.  Submit periodic reports to the President of the University on the development of work in his units, according to the tasks entrusted to him, and the difficulties he faces. 
  13.  Follow-up on the development of educational facilities at the university and the modernization of laboratories and laboratories. 
  14.  Supervising the financial affairs and trust assigned to the center and its programs in accordance with the bylaws and regulations. 
  15.  Supervising the implementation of the subjects referred to it in terms of quality and academic accreditation. 
  16.  Develop appropriate interim plans for the periodic review of approved quality standards to ensure continuous improvement in the performance of academic departments and administrative units at the university. 
  17. Develop a mechanism to identify the expectations, requirements, and level of satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the university's services (internal and external) and communicate them to all relevant academic departments and administrative units. 
  18.  Implementing and following up the evaluation and development of the teaching performance of the faculty member, and assisting him to achieve professional and scientific excellence. 
  19.  Follow-up to update the university's website regarding the center and its administrative units. 
  20.  Executing the work assigned by the university president. 
 
 

Deputy Director of the Quality and Academic Accreditation Center:

  •  Tasks and duties 
  1.  Assisting the director of the center in drawing up general policies for development and quality at the university level. 
  2.  Contribute to the dissemination of the culture of quality in the university and support activities related to it. 
  3.  Supporting the supervision of quality, evaluation and academic accreditation activities at the university. 
  4. Follow up the level of discipline and commitment to quality at the university. 
  5. Working on continuous improvement of quality work departments at the university. 
  6. Continuous collection of data and information on academic accreditation requirements and quality activities and their application at the university. 
  7.  Preparing periodic reports on performance levels in colleges and departments and the extent of beneficiaries' satisfaction in each activity. 
  8. Suggesting learning goals or outcomes for the various university programs (diploma, bachelor), as well as suggesting ways or means to achieve these goals, and different evaluation methods to measure the outcomes or achieve these goals. 
  9.  Supervising the preparation and processing of files for faculty members and courses, so that each file contains: 
  •     Biography of the faculty member. 
  •    Copy of documents, academic certificates, certificates of appreciation, and awards for excellence in teaching. 
  •    Description of the course content, in Arabic and English, according to a form prepared by the center. 
  •    Sample questions from previous courses exams. 
  •    A sample of students' answer sheets of different levels.
 10. Determining possible areas of improvement and proposing the necessary projects to achieve them at the university level. 
 11. Preparing and processing center brochures and guides, as well as information leaflets about the center, job opportunities and study plans.  

Secretariat of the Quality and Academic Accreditation Center:

  •    Tasks and duties 
  1. Keeping all official correspondences issued by the center or received by it. 
  2. Printing all official books, minutes of meetings and minutes of committees. 
  3.  Follow-up and distribution of the center's mail. 
  4.  Distribution of people's mail within the center. 
  5.  Completion of all assignments received from the director of the center.

Quality Expert:

  •  Tasks and duties 
  1. Contribute to the improvement of academic programs in the university's faculties and departments. 
  2.  Providing consultations related to quality and continuous improvement of the educational process. 
  3. Work on collective participation with the leadership of the center on the development of rules and regulations related to the quality of teaching and learning.
 

Quality Assurance and University Performance Officer at the College

  •    Tasks and duties  
  1.  Drafting plans and programs related to the work of the departments, and related to the work and standards of quality assurance and academic accreditation. 
  2. View the department's inbox and refer it to quality specialists. 
  3.  Answer departmental inquiries regarding the application of quality standards in their colleges and departments.
  4.  Conducting field visits to all departments to consult and check the extent to which colleges and departments apply quality standards. 
  5. Determining the strengths and defects in the performance of the departments and identifying treatments and alternative solutions to improve the efficiency of human and material performance. 
  6. Addressing the departments and defining frameworks that conform to the standards with regard to the completion of educational portfolios, job descriptions, and others. 
  7.  Contribute to giving lectures to associates at the university to spread a culture of quality. 
  8.  Preparing the necessary readings to provide information to the Quality and Academic Accreditation Center in various fields. 
  9.  Fill out the axes related to the manual of quantitative and qualitative indicators and send them to the center. 
  10.  Follow up on the completion of the updated database of teachers, technicians, and infrastructure for the college departments. 
  11. Organizing training and development courses for workers in the scientific departments within the college, in coordination with the Quality Center at the university.
 

Responsible for the performance appraisal unit:

  • Tasks and duties 
  1.  Completing the annual performance evaluation of all teaching staff at the university through coordination with all faculties. 
  2.  Sending the annual evaluation of the teachers to the university presidency on 7/15 of each year. 
  3.  Completing the annual performance evaluation of all administrators and technicians working at the university through coordination with all university faculties and departments.
  4.  Sending the annual evaluation of administrators and technicians to the university presidency on 1/2 of each year. 
  5. Complete the annual university performance evaluation through coordination with all university faculties and departments. 
  6.  Sending the annual evaluation of the faculties and departments of the university to the presidency of the university on December 25 of each year. 
  7.  Completing and updating a database of all teachers, technicians and administrators working in the university's faculties and departments. 
 

Quality Assurance Unit Officer:

  • Tasks and duties 
  1.  Follow up the activities of quality assurance and performance units in the university faculties. 
  2.  Enhancing activities that contribute to the application of quality standards in university faculties and departments. 
  3.  Determining the strengths and defects and working to strengthen the first and remove the second in all faculties and departments affiliated with the university. 
  4.  Enhancing the application of quality standards within the focus of teaching. 
  5.  Enhancing the application of quality standards within the student hub. 
  6.  Enhancing the application of quality standards within the curriculum focus. 
  7.  Enhancing the application of quality standards within the facilities axis (infrastructure). 
  8.  Follow up the orders received from the university presidency and official bodies related to quality and academic accreditation, and deliver them to all university faculties and departments, in a way that enhances the application of educational quality standards. 
 

Training and Technical Support Unit Officer:

  • Tasks and duties 
  1.  Work to spread a culture of quality in the faculties and departments of the university and the various segments of the local community. 
  2.  Determining and designing the training needs of university employees in the areas of quality and academic accreditation. 
  3.  Organizing training courses inside and outside the university in the areas of quality and academic accreditation. 
  4.  Designing computer programs in various fields to enhance the construction of advanced databases for all activities in colleges and departments. 
  5.  Paying attention to everything new and advanced in the field of quality and delivering it to the faculties and departments of the university to enhance the application of quality standards. 
  6. Participation in conferences and seminars related to quality and academic accreditation, which are held at the level of university faculties and departments, or that are held outside the university in corresponding universities, research institutions and others.
